Jillian Wilkins
COO
Jillian has been involved in the swimming world since 1991 and has been an instructor for the past 16 years. Locally, Jillian competed for Team Orlando and Trinity Aquatic Team (now Trinity Prep Aquatics). While attending school at Bishop Moore Catholic High School she was a two-time Florida state champion in the breaststroke events. At the University of Maryland, College Park, she swam competitively for the varsity swim team from 1999-2003. Jillian was extremely successful during her college years. She earned, among many other achievements, NCAA Division Martin All-American Honors in the 100- and 200-yard Breaststroke, was an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) champion in the 200-yard breaststroke and 400-yard medley relay and earned All-ACC honors in nine events.
She was fortunate to undertake community service projects with the University of Maryland Varsity Swim Team to teach swimming to under privileged children in College Park, Maryland. These projects helped Jillian realize how much she enjoyed sharing her love of water with children. During the last two years of her college career, Jillian was the head coach of the University of Maryland Terrapin Masters Swim Team. This team includes swimmers from ages 18-100 of various skill levels. Most of these team members were there for social reason and to stay in shape but others included those who competed at the United States Masters swimming and the United States Triathlon Association national levels. After college, Jillian continued competitive swimming with the Ft. Lauderdale Swim Team (currently named Ft. Lauderdale Aquatics) under the direction of Duffy Dillon and Jack Nelson. Jillian considers it a great privilege and honor to work with and learn from them both. Her competitive swimming career ended on a high note at the 2004 USA Olympic Swimming Trials in Long Beach California.
Shortly after her competitive swimming career came to an end, Jillian established Lane 4 Swim School, Inc. This was a direct result of her wanting to share her love of the water with others. 16 years later her and her team continues be the premier swim lesson provider in Central Florida, teaching children to swim through games and play.
Jillian’s other love of sport is producing events focused on the athlete experience. Through this passion Jillian was proud to partner with Rowdy Gaines and Scott Bay. Together they started RSJ Event Specialists and their combined love of sport has given them the opportunity to produce sporting events of multiple sizes throughout the country.
Currently, Jillian has focused all of her energy to building the best swimming program and sporting events available to parents, athletes and families in the Central Florida area.
